I built my career doing serious analytical work in Alaska, spending twenty-five years tackling hard problems, interpreting data, and providing information for my clients who had to make consequential decisions. With Hess Mountain Group, I’m building something different.

This next chapter is slower by design. I aim to spend summers outside, seeking experiences in the wilderness, and my winters creating and thinking. I take on a handful of consulting engagements each year, chosen based on my skill set and its fit with the problem. Everything I make or do comes from a commitment to a deep-thinking, slow, and contemplative approach.

That approach forms the core of Hess Mountain Group.
